What are some interesting off the wall movies?

something that is not necessarily mainstream. i'm looking for something entertaining and different from what's always out there. it can be adult, humorous, thought provoking, whatever you think is good.

  2. Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas It's adult, very humorous,and thought provoking.
  3. Definitely check out Donnie Darko. Movie will make you think. Also, Memento is cool because it tells the story in reverse. It starts at the end, and the movie shows how he got to that point.

  5. Well anything by John Waters would be adult, irreverant, tasteless, and thought provoking.

  7. Run Lola Run is really good and so is Kinky Boots (not a porn) Oh, and Cry Baby is hilarious!!!

Try Richard Linklater's Waking Life It was made in the same style as A Scanner Darkly (rotoscoping) and is a series of philisophical conversations or monologues dealing with a range of topics with only a basic plot thread of a man who can't wake up from his dreams tieing the experience together.

  10. life is sweet by mike leigh. nothing special happens just a family getting by. but it still has some magic that gives you a warm glow inside.
