Humorous Movies

What are some lesbian movies that you would recommend?

I'm looking for some movies that are based on teens...something like "But I'm a Cheerleader". I watched it today and enjoyed it. It was sweet and humorous too. I love romantic comedies. And if there are any movies about younger teens (which I doubt there are) that would be perfect, since I'm only 13. But really, I would enjoy any lesbian movie right now. I'm really getting tired of watching those chick flicks...nothing interesting for me anymore. Just heterosexual people doing their thing...So yeah, hook me up with some nice titles. Thanks. Oh and if you can give me some links to websites where I can watch the movies, that would be great, cause I'm not sure if I'd be able to rent or buy them... If you know some YouTube links, that would be excellent.

  2. If you're looking for happy endings and fun along the lines of "But I'm A Cheerleader", I'd recommend "Better Than Chocolate" and "Mango Kiss". If you'd like to be depressed out of your mind but have something that really captures young lesbian infatuation, you could try "Lost and Delirious".
  3. It is not a teen movie, but it is excellent. Try to find a copy of Desert Hearts. We ran it at a theatre in Duluth, Minnesota back in the mid-1980's. It generated a bit of controversy, with some church groups exercising their rights of opinion, but the audiences who saw it almost universally liked it. And the audience (measured by guest book registration and by customer interviews) was truly mixed in religious and cultural characteristics. It should not be too hard to find, but rental stores seem to carry mostly recent films, but there are sources. I think you will like it.
  4. Not all of these are teen movies specifically, but ones that I would recommend: Loving Annabelle http://www.amazon.com/Loving-Annabelle-Diane-Gaidry/dp/B000J4QWIG/ref=pd_bbs_sr_3/104-6850027-7606336?ie=UTF8&s=dvd&qid=1184815503&sr=1-3 Imagine Me & You http://www.amazon.com/Imagine-Me-You-Piper-Perabo/dp/B000F7CEBG/ref=sr_1_4/104-6850027-7606336?ie=UTF8&s=dvd&qid=1184815503&sr=1-4 The Incredibly True Adventures of Two Girls in Love http://www.amazon.com/Incredibly-True-Adventures-Girls-Love/dp/B0001HAGSI/ref=sr_1_8/104-6850027-7606336?ie=UTF8&s=dvd&qid=1184815503&sr=1-8 Show Me Love http://www.amazon.com/Show-Me-Love-Alexandra-Dahlstr%C3%B6m/dp/B00004YKR3/ref=sr_1_16/104-6850027-7606336?ie=UTF8&s=dvd&qid=1184815503&sr=1-16 The Truth About Jane (a very good teen one, I think) http://www.amazon.com/Truth-About-Jane-Stockard-Channing/dp/B000062Y1E/ref=sr_1_33/104-6850027-7606336?ie=UTF8&s=dvd&qid=1184815624&sr=1-33 Kissing Jessica Stein http://www.amazon.com/Kissing-Jessica-Stein-Thomas-Bolster/dp/B00003CYJ4/ref=pd_sim_d_5_img/104-6850027-7606336?ie=UTF8&qid=1184815624&sr=1-29 Lost and Delirious http://www.amazon.com/Lost-Delirious-Piper-Perabo/dp/B00005QW5T/ref=pd_sim_d_1_img/104-6850027-7606336?ie=UTF8&qid=1184815624&sr=1-29 All Over Me http://www.amazon.com/All-Over-Me-Alison-Folland/dp/B000929AQO/ref=sr_1_38/104-6850027-7606336?ie=UTF8&s=dvd&qid=1184815624&sr=1-38 Desert Hearts http://www.amazon.com/Desert-Hearts-Two-Disc-Vintage-Collection/dp/B000OVLC0W/ref=sr_1_93/104-6850027-7606336?ie=UTF8&s=dvd&qid=1184815900&sr=1-93 That's all I can think of at the moment... hope this helps a little!
  5. No youth lesbian movies that aren't depressing(lost and Delerious) but I liked Bound. It is amusing. Lesbians, thievery, AND the mob. I don't know how anyone could pass that up, especially since it is a Wachowski brothers film(Matrix, V for Vendetta). There is some sex, though. Nudity. But I've only seen the unrated version. Music vid by a fan. Focused on the violence, this one. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wg72Ts9g-zA "Gray Matters" with Heather Graham looks amusing. I haven't seen it yet though. It is new. http://www.graymattersmovie.com/
  6. I have viewed a view lesbian movies that I really enjoy. Aprils Shower is really good as well as the L word series. They are freaking fantastic. Being 13 ouch do your parents know. If so have them set up an account for blockbuster online. The site is blockbuster.com and if you use promotional code 18604B and you can get 2 weeks of free blockbuster movies. Hope this helps!
