8. One of the funniest recent English-speaking movies which combine action and comedy is the under-rated Galaxy Quest. Also try some of the Peter Seller's Pink Panther movies and you'll split your sides. 'The Life of Brian' is good but your English needs to be pretty good to catch the dry humour.

10. if you mean english as in made in england with english actors then try shaun of the dead,any of the monty python movies,holy grail is my fave,snatch was quite good cant think of any other action movies sorry!
11. Johnny English staring Rowan Atkinson , hes the guy who plays mr bean. the green man starring Alastair Sim a very funny man , he was in the st trinians movies.

14. Have you tried 'lock stock and two smoking barrells' or 'snatch' by any chance, very English, very good. Full of action and they have even thrown in some humour too!
15. combine the 2 and you cant go wrong with the new film at th moment..HOT FUZZ..it has elements of both and is brilliant, from the makers of Shaun of the Dead is others have mentioned here
